Headlines

  • Acadian Feast With Lobster: A PEI Fall Flavour Preview event will be hosted by Food Network Celebrity Chef Corbin Tomaszeski. A great meal with traditional Acadian food and fresh lobster in the shell will be served in traditional Acadian style and in a festive atmosphere. Local Acadian artist will be on stage for your enjoyment and to entice you to dance, sing and laugh!
  • Louisiana band Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys will be playing at Friday night's D'Jâble dans l'Corps.  The dance, held in the arena, starts at 10:00 p.m. with doors opening at 9:00 p.m.
  • First ever PEI Rubber Boot Throwing Championship:  The competition will be held over the three days of the Festival with the Championship round being played on Sunday afternoon.  This competition is opened to everyone with several age categories for both women and men. This will certainly prove to be an exciting experience for participants and spectators alike as the competitors try their best to control the boot to attain the longest throw.
  • Pole Climbing Show: Yes Gerry Arsenault, the Branch Manager will again defeat all odds as he stands and performs on top of his new more than 100 ft high pole.  There is bound to be surprises and many AHs from the crowd!
  • "La Swing du Suête", dance group from Chéticamp in Cape-Breton will perfor on the arena stage on Saturday afternoon August 30th, following the lively Musical Show by the talented Joe Narcisse Family.
  • Magician Rémi Boudreau: 4 Magic Shows will be featured with two on Saturday and two on Sunday.  Fun for the whole family!
  • RÉVEIL: Saturday night's Evangeline and Gabriel Dance will again feature the all popular Acadian band RÉVEIL who will perform from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.  Doors of the arena open at 9:00 p.m.
  • CHAPEAU ANGÈLE: Sunday night closing concert will pay tribute to the ever popular Acadian singing star Angèle Arsenault.  Numerous artists from PEI and New Brunswick will be on stage to provide you with a  journey through Angèle's singing career and to participate in the launch of her last CD "VIVRE".
